We were back up in Westchester visiting with Mr. T’s folks and stopped into one of their new favorite places Dish. This restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside- basically a store front in a strip mall- but inside lies a cute little bistro and wine bar. We started out with some appetizers to share. First a fantastic Salumi and Pate Platter.
Big slices of Prosciutto, Sweet and Hot Sopressata, Pork Rilette and some of the best Duck Liver Mousse I’ve had in ages. This paired nicely with the Artisan Cheese Board.
Unfortunately it was three different goat cheeses that day. A little more variety would have been nice but it was still of great quality. One last sharable dish the Seared Yellowfin Tuna.
I’m not a seaweed lover but I really the flavor here. The wasabi mayo and soy sauce really helped enhance the tuna as well. Onto our mains the men ordered the Boulibasse.
Talk about some fragrent sauce; I could smell the aromatic saffron rolling out of the kitchen before the bowl even arrived. I was a little jealous of their dish at first but then I happily tried out my Cripy Red Snapper.
The fish was cooked perfect and came with a sweet Thai green curry and coconut sauce that was phenomenal. I was absolutely stuffed at this point so we decided to share dessert. A classic Crème Brulee.
And an insanely delicious warm Nutella Crepe that just about had me swooning because it was so wonderful.
This place was really perfect. The service was great, they had an excellent beer list and the bottles of wine were incredibly affordable. I’m not sure if this is a destination place per say but it’s going to be on the top of my list next time our destination is back in Mahopac that’s for sure.
